IPVideo Corporation’s HALO SMART SENSOR Honored as Gold Stevie® Award Winner in 2020 American Business Awards®
BAY SHORE, NY | MAY 19, 2020 – The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
Nicknamed Stevie, for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be virtually presented to winners during a live event on Wednesday, August 5.
More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Best New Product or Service of the Year and Application of the Year, among others. IPVideo Corporation was nominated in the IoT Analytics Solution category for its HALO IOT Smart Sensor encompassing vape detection and security for privacy areas.
HALO IOT Smart Sensor is a multi-sensor capable of detecting vape, smoke, THC and sound abnormalities like gunshot detection, shouting and calls for help in areas a camera cannot be placed. Additional sensors give HALO the ability to monitor air quality including temperature, humidity, hazardous chemicals and more! The sensor captures over 1 million readings per day and uses advanced analytics to eliminate false alarms and alert on user defined settings.
Some of the judges’ comments included:
- “Futuristic IoT product with an innovative solution to a major problem!”
- “It has 16 sensors monitoring a total of 150+ different use cases thereby successfully preventing false positives. This sets apart HALO from the competition.”
- “Radically changing the ecosystem of controls, utilizing disruptive technological advancements.”
- “I am just impressed with the solution to detect vaping in the schools. Schools need this technology to eliminate this scourge threatening our youths. The products ability to use its sensors, air quality and usage of IoT makes it a unique offering in the market.”
- “Wow, designing a technology solution for a social impact makes a big difference in the world.”
“We are honored that HALO and its many features have been recognized by the judges for a Gold Stevie in the IoT Analytics Category. “states David Antar, President of IPVideo Corporation. “We are utilizing our sensor’s analytics to uncover vaping, THC, air quality and protect our citizens, keeping with our mission of providing solutions for a smarter and safer world.”
