IPVideo Corporation, manufacturer of IP-based video surveillance and command center solutions, announced today that the City of Bridgeport officially opened their new $1 million Security Command Center as part of its BSAFE initiative. Designed using C3fusion, the command center features a stunning video wall that not only handles video security, but also helps to manage Bridgeport's many integrated technologies. “Everything from a door access system to a building management system to GPS tracking to a panic button system, can all come back to the command center and trigger an event for staff to perform a visual verification” said David Antar, President of IPVideo Corporation.
“It's also beneficial to emergency management, from the standpoint of snowstorms, hurricanes, that type of thing,” said Bridgeport’s Director of Public Facilities Jorge Garcia. Cameras from the city's Safe Corridors program, which captured the tail end of an attempted abduction of a teen recently, are also integrated into this command center. ”We actually want to expand it to all the schools throughout the city of Bridgeport,” said Garcia. “We started with the high schools and we've rolled out four more this season.”
The Security Command Center is powered by IPVideo Corp’s C3fusion command center solution, which integrates the various technologies deployed citywide. This includes SentryVMS, IPVideo Corp’s enterprise-class video management system, which is deployed at several key locations. All technologies come back to the command center, where specified conditions trigger an event for staff to perform a visual verification. “C3fusion is the glue that brings everything together in the Security Command Center, providing complete situational awareness,” said Frank Jacovino, Director Product Development for IPVideo Corporation.
The command center will be staffed and operational just after the first of the year.
